Alison Pill
Pill was first introduced in Canadian films, but was a long time before breaking in to The American market. An example of this was an episode from the Canadian series Traders that starred Bruce Gray. Pill obtained a spot on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation starring Wallace Langham, Liz Vassey, and Michael Ensign, in the episode "Would have, Can, Shoulda", co-written and starred with Naren Shakar. After her role in Picard, Pill appeared in a major supporting role in the acclaimed 2020 science fiction miniseries Devs (served by the digital VFX company Double Negative) produced by FX Productions for Hulu, and like she had in Picard as well, she appeared in each episode of that series while performing a similar role in the role of scientist "Katie". The similarities between the two series did not stop from there. Pill was made aware that the central theme revolves around the preservation the consciousness of a human in a computer creature, which is similar to the work Data played in the film's season 1 finale "Et in Arcadia Ego Part 2."
